Poor Joe!
Instead of pressure washing the “inside” of your house, maybe you should have rented a BobCat and just pushed it all out the front door like in that furniture commercial!
Feel better sweetie!
Uh-oh, what happened? Was the pressure from the fire hose you used to clean off your kitchen table, too much? Or was it from bending to clean out those drawers you vowed to clean out once a day (or was it once a week?) but then decided to do it all in one day, because you are having company?
Take a couple of motrin, you gotta be able to get thru that Tech game tomorrow!!
Md Mama, fire hose? lol
He may have been bending wrong and crawling all over the floor in search for his “list”.
Sorry Joe, get some rest & hope you feel better~
Anyone with a flatbed truck should be able to get you to Lane Stadium safely:-)BTW the game is on the tube. You do have a beer cooler? Go HOKIES!!
Little too much “rough stuff,” eh, Joe?
I believe you need a Harp Beer
Andrew, I was thinking the same thing myself…
I’m ignoring you guys …
Was it a shopping cart mishap in the Kroger parking lot?
As a healthcare professional I can vouch for the medicinal properties of Harp beer…. although I prefer Flying Dog In Heat Wheat.
Flying Dog in Heat Wheat.
Lesson: Never give your censor the afternoon off.
With all this beer talk I propose a Cuppa Joe Beer Fest….. er, tasting…. how about discussion group? [Complete with very large tip jar for Andrew at the tasting table.] Its a very German/Gaelic/Octoberish type-o-thing to do! Although, Joe could declare Harp to be the official Cuppa Joe Beer, and in that case I would have to defer to the Irish brew and leave my Colorado based preference at home!
Mary in C’burg
I’m with you. I would like to try a Harp
Could we include some good German ‘bier’ at the Cuppa Joe Beer Fest, I mean, discussion group? For, you know, variety, since it is Octoberfest? Or are we all wearing the “green” in honor of The Harp? If that’s the case, I could leave my stein at home!
sorry - but it’s Guinness or I’m staying home…
If it’s German, I’m staying home.
You guys, you’re too funny.
Just let me know when the party is !
Annette, I tried the Harp at the Annie Moore’s Irish Pub. It’s good. Don’t know if it was my mood, taste or what, but seemed to taste much better at the Pub in WV. I also bought some Guinness draught in a bottle. Much different! Oh, it is much too strong for the taste buds!
Ach meine Herren, it was just a suggestion….:(
I guess I’m stuck with the Irish!
So Folks,
Where and when is this Cuppa Joe Beer Fest. Has anybody had Amstel? This is G o o d. Now we are in to another country — Holland. We are an international group.
Katherine- try this, It is good.
Joe- Glad you and your brother had a good talk.
Annette,
I have the feeling Joe is nixing the international theme, I think it’s a strictly Irish event! So much for the Great American Melting Pot! Bring on the corned beef and cabbage and, of course, the Harp. Don’t forget your loose change for Andrew.
Md. Mama
Joe might come around. It is hard to tell about Joe. Do not know which way the wind is blowing if this event ever happens. Sometimes guys surprise us.(not often). Its in your court now. Joe.
Good tv on tonight. Shows for Women
Shows for women are on every night. Don’t you have Lifetime?
I’ve been watching that Rock guy, Bret whoever, on MTV, choose from among the assembled, uh, young, uh, ladies.
They’re down to two, last time I saw. There is no possible way he’d marry either of ‘em.
Is there?
I only watch Lifetime when Will & Grace is on. You actually watch “The Rock of Love”? My daughters watch that! If that’s the only way Bret whats his name can get a wife, it’s pretty sad. They are all roadie-types, if you know what I mean, with way too much drama. Young, maybe; ladies, I don’t think so.
The only shows I watch on TV are “House”, “American Idol” (but only when they are down to the small group of finalists) and “Project Runway” (when it’s on). I used to love “The Dresden Files” on Sci-Fi, but they didn’t renew it this season….figures. I’m not a big TV watcher, I’d rather read.
I saw Rock for the first time the other night and wondered how the producers lucked into such a trio of characterologically disordered young women. The parents weren’t exactly the creme de la creme, either.
I mean, I’ve made some bad choices, but holy cow … Of course it’s all theater. But still …
I don’t watch much TV and now that baseball is winding down I’ll watch less. Nothing sadder than lying on the couch watching TV alone, in my book.
BTW, I’m reading “The Five Skies”, a novel, and I just finished “Feast of Love,” from which the movie is derived. Good books. Pass it on.
I do watch Lifetime. Never watched the Rock of Love. Love all the CSI’s, Without a Trace,Damages,
The Closer and I am I guilty,Desperate Housewives.
.
The Rock makes his decision one night this week. You won’t want to miss it. It’ll be one of those pairings where the final outcome is … nobody wins, not even the winner.
When you are alone at home. I think TV is a good outlet. Reading is also and I love good movies and not just the romantic ones. I just rented a really good movie with Anthony Hopkins and Brian Gosling called Fracture. Great Mystery and good acting.
Do people on Reality shows not understand that they are being viewed by quite a LARGE audience? I suppose these folks must have very low self esteem, or they just don’t care how they are viewed. My kids watch “America’s Next Top Model”. This show is a cat fight waiting to happen! You can not put that many females in one living space, and not except a lot of high drama! I guess that’s the appeal of the show, but I would be horrified if one of my daughters behaved that way on TV!!
Hi everyone. Getting caught up here..
What’s happened with the Cuppa Joe Beer Fest?
Mary, and of course a Huge Jar for Andrew!!!
Md Mama, we could have all kinds of beer!!
Annette, I wrote ‘Amstel’ down for my next trip to the store also!
Sorry, don’t watch alot of TV but 2&1/2 men will be on later. lol
Okay, where & when is this gonna happen .. Am I just going to have to invite everyone over to my house ( I won’t have to drive home then ).
Andrew, where’s the chat room so we can have our discussions?
No one wants to commit to this Cuppa Joe Beer Fest, Joe says go without him, he is on medication. Well we can wait until he is off the medication. It will be cooler then. Suppose to get hot again.
Katherine, we can have a big PJ party at your house. It would be fun to do this at the lake. Anybody got a lake house. Oh well. how about the creek. Tinker Creek-LOL
Sorry, Joe, but this IS a fun topic. And you did start it by telling us about Harp beer. We can wait until your back gets better to have the Beer Fest. Maybe we can celebrate in November! Since I’m German and don’t know any Irish Pubs, someone will have to give me an idea of where to begin. Although, since this was Mary in C’Burg’s idea, I don’t want to step on any toes.
This weather has been so wonderful of late that it would be fitting to choose an outdoor location, don’t you think? Where can one casually and legally imbibe alfresco without going to a restaurant? There is a bar in Blacksburg that has a great variety of beer on tap and you can play darts…. less Irish, more British…. and they have great food. What do ya’ll think?
Sounds like a great idea! I’m not sure how Joe feels about a British pub, it’s close enough to Ireland, right? Of course, he hasn’t had very good luck with bars in Blacksburg lately, so we’ll have to make sure he’s not seated near a wall! May need to watch the darts, too.
LOL Annette, My Dad does have a big camper at the lake built on, etc. but don’t think it would be ‘quite’ big enough. And I live near Tinker creek also (lol). Well, we’ll just have to wait until Joe is off medication & a PJ party sounds fun.. no one will have to drive !!
“And Mary”, sounds good to me.. just as long as I stay the night in a “no tell motel” ( as we used to call a certain van in my younger days) or I can stay with someone, even someone from here, we can room together. I love darts! tho I’m not very good but I can practice at my Dads or go to Abbotts. Now that I think of it, I’m due for a visit at Abbotts!
Outdoors would be much nicer but if all we have is indoors, that’s okay with me.
ps..
Joe, Go to Abbotts in Mill Mtn Estates, Garden City rather. Talk to Gary… It used to be the old Mac’s soda shop and I KNOW you’ve heard of that. It’s just over yellow Mtn rd. He runs a good neighborhood business. Good food, pool tables, tournaments, etc.
