I’m baaaaaack….

October 3rd, 2007

From my meeting about my new job. I can’t reveal what it is yet, as there are other announcements to be made, but I am excited to start it, especially because much of it involves plowing new turf. That’s a figure of speech. I am not becoming an apprentice landscaper.

Now to take a walk, pay some bills and get to work on my chore list. Much to read, as well, about my new profession. Sigh. And here I thought I could be aimless and pointless and jobless and enjoy it.

Everybody told me I’d be sick of it in a month, and I sort of am. But the blog will roll on. You have my solemn, um, whatever on this.

Well Joe, I felt a need to respond to this one since the others are so popular right now. I’m still smiling. Glad to hear you’re excited about it and um, landscaping wouldn’t be very good for your back anyway.

Andrew, what happened to the smileys we used to be able to make here? :) ;)

Jobs tend to force us to organize our lives around them, and this is not all bad. They put a frame around our weeks, days, and months.

I’m happy that your mighty pen is being beaten into a plowshare, or something like that. I’ve mixed my metaphors again. Hope that you will find much to celebrate in your new venture and that you will be able to talk about it soon. Enquiring minds, and so on…

Good news for all of us is that your blog will continue rollin’ along….

Hey Joe.
When are we going to know your new job? I am excited for you. This is going to be so different for you. This is what is so exciting. A new adventure.
Hope you had a great weekend and your back is better
Jeff Gordon won???????

Hi, Annette, the job thing will be announced, I think, in a couple of weeks. Heck,I don’t know. Weekend was good, spent last night with my daughter and son at his place, with his friends, watching the Tech game.
Who’s Jeff Gordon?

Who is Frank Beamer?

Gosh Joe, a couple of weeks?
I know you have to be excited about this also,
even though you mentioned something earlier about reading up on your new job.. Aren’t you going to tell your blog family first?
Oh, by any chance, done any other reading lately as in ‘have you taken any pictures lately?’
